I Am Just Saying “you make your bed, lay in it”

I remember a very popular saying of my Grandmother's, “if you make your bed, lay” in it. Something that has always stayed with me and in every choice and decision I make, I accept the consequence, however good or bad, I try to embrace it and move forward because in my mind I am unstoppable. So why should it be any different for the infamous Dudus, Area Don/Leader of some of Kingston’s most brutal inner-cities. Lately the rivalry that surrounds this individual has impacted the life of many innocent, decent and hard-working Jamaicans. Now I am not big on politics, religions or any organization that is design to indoctrinate me along the perimeters of someone else’s ideals. However, this matter has been floating around on the lips of almost everyone of my close Jamaican friends and colleagues. And I feel the need to address it from my point of view.

Now, why is it hat that the Jamaican Government holds custody of this man, Who in my eyes has brought so many crimes and injustice into to our culture? A dozen scenarios running through my head but I decline on getting into it at this time. What’s the best way to pet a pigeon, turn him into a chicken and domesticate him? Answer; feed him everyday… So to hell with all the so called good that this man claims to have done in the inner cities. This is just his way of manipulating the minds of the hungry, the weak and the uneducated. A method to infiltrate his power and his own ideals; to extort and exploit… This is very common in our Jamaican culture. I remember growing up in a rural community where the only time we would see our Member of Parliament (MP); the person who represents our constituency, was during elections. He would bring a dozen bags of soil fertilizers, chicken feed and rice, to manipulate and gain the votes of the people. This is politics in our country; they prey on the demise of the unfortunates… I never bought into it; all I could see was “horse shit!”

Another one my real inspiration for blogging about this is the fact that a lot of Jamaicans are being denied entry into the US and Jamaican entertainers / DJs are losing their Visas. It is speculated that the Dudus Saga is basis for this. If that is the case Jamaica’s Prime Minister needs to give this man up to the US Authorities. I do not have to emphasize how much Jamaica needs the US and how imperative it is for us to stay in their good graces. Seriously, do u think if this man was not guilty on some levels, the US Law Officials would go through such extremes. Really, I don’t think US Authorities have that much energy to invest in “smalls Fries.” I am sure there is a magnitude of truth to what the charges are and I think a lot of Jamaicans are aware of this. So why not just give him up? Isn’t it that everyman should be held accountable for their actions, If he is guilty? I believe this is why the crime and violence will continue to escalate because the proper measures are not been taken to clean up the country. And Mr. Bruce didn’t you sign on when you became Prime Minister to protect the interest of the nation? When since Dudus became an entire nation.

This is a bunch of “horse shit” and on that note I close. Thanks for reading, until next week.
